Special Videos for Teachers, Students … and Parents

Well, that should cover just about everyone … Here’s a long over-due shout-out to those in education … often, the most under-rated … under-appreciated … yet, most influential people in our lives … our teachers …

I am reminded how often Jesus was referred to as “Teacher,” and, from the first message I ever preached, I used the text from John, chapter 3, when Nicodemus came to Jesus by night … Nicodemus began his questions with, “Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher … “

So many in my family are currently, or have been, teachers …

Here are a couple of special videos for you all, from fellow teacher, fellow author, and fellow poet Taylor Mali. Please enjoy them in the spirit in which they are intended:

The first presentation is Taylor Mali and “Miracle Workers”

Now, here’s Taylor Mali with “What Do Teachers Make?”

  1. Wow… what a great post! I am sure there are many people who are faced with the same problems I recently had. I couldn’t find BTW, there is an online service through which you can fill out a DA 7223-1, the fillable blank is here https://goo.gl/OU903P.

  2. Yes! Teachers make a difference in more lives than they will ever know! …and they do it every time they take a moment to listen to a story they don’t really have time for, stop to teach a student to be polite, ask children to “talk things out together,” and keep a watchful eye on the student who rarely has a smile, needs a snack, or a pat on the back. Some students get under your skin, but you still do everything in your power to help him/her succeed. The saying “it takes a village to raise a child” is very true, thank goodness we have fellow teachers to rely on…because we can all relate!
